Taxi Charge Horror Stories. What happens when you don't use TaxiPass.

Why do cabdrivers love TaxiPass, but hate taking credit cards? TaxiPass is free to cabdrivers, while credit card fees can cost drivers up to 30% of their earnings. TaxiPass is easy and quick to use, while credit card transactions are manual, and frustratingly slow. TaxiPass pays cabdrivers immediately for their ride, versus credit cards transactions that pay drivers in days or weeks. So be careful if you charge your ride without TaxiPass.

Noticed that a lot more SF taxis' credit card machines seem to be "broken"
