Hi I am a cab driver from 2005. i saw posts and videos and want to share some helpfull info.
the history of cabs in all cities shows that only emigrants who are ready to work hard n long hours mostly do this job. for all ties this was the cash business.
now most of pasengers want to use credit cards for any reasons ( collect bonuses and points or simply expence the money they spend on transportation even if it is not regarding work comute)
the driver want to make his leaving withought extra hustle. it is not fun to go to cab company after they finish the shift and wait the line before the get checked all credit card receipts and get founds transfered to the proper account. tip the assisting person ofcourse. and then at end of the year pay taxes baised on balance from credit card transactions.
I would like to stop by the ATM on the way instead been paid for the service in credit card.
and it is totaly abuse of the driver if the person knowing what kind a hustle driver have to go through giving him credit card at the end of the trip.
cab companies get persentage banks get persentage , assisting people get tip, passenger get home driver get extra hustle what the sweet deal?!(((
save your good carma. dont get driver mat on you. pay in cash or let him to know in advance that you going to pay with the card.
